Note: Students unsure of their language level should contact the Department of Modern Languages about a placement test. In addition, all students, including first-year students, may obtain special permission to register in a higher course if they have sufficient background in the language.
Portuguese 1030 - Portuguese for Beginners
An introduction to understanding, speaking, reading, and writing Portuguese, with emphasis on oral skills. Intended for students with little or no previous knowledge of Portuguese. Prepares students directly for Portuguese 2200.

Comprehensive grammar review; further development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

Prerequisite(s): Portuguese 1030 or Grade 12U Portuguese or the former OAC   Portuguese, the former Portuguese 002, or permission of the Department.
