This course provides an introduction to the nursing profession, health, illness and health promotion. These concepts are considered from the perspectives of individuals, families and communities. Students will have opportunity to learn about the nursing process, basic assessment skills, and ways in which nursing practice can support those with long-term health challenges.

This course focuses on understanding intrapersonal and interpersonal experiences.
