Admission Requirements
Admission into this module is a two-step process:
Academic Requirements
Completion of first-year requirements, including 1.0 from Sociology courses at the 1000 level, with a mark of at least 60% in each course.
Additional Requirements
To register in this module, students are required to submit a Community Development Application Form by February 28 (late applications will be considered at the discretion of the program). Because of the community placement requirement of this module, each student who has applied to the program will be interviewed for suitability for admission. Normally, interviews will be completed by March 30, with interviews prioritized by year of each student's program (e.g., students entering 4th year will be interviewed first). Enrolment in this module is limited. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee that students wishing to transfer into this module will be offered enrollment. Priority will be given to students already registered at Brescia.

3.0 courses: Sociology 2215A/B, Sociology 3330F/G, Sociology 3331F/G, Sociology 3333F/G, Sociology 3334A/B; Sociology 3307F/G or Sociology 3322A/B. Note that Sociology 2206A/B is strongly recommended if the Sociology 3307F/G option is taken.
3.0 courses from: Family Studies 2225; First Nations Studies 2531F/G; History 2123 or History 2211E; Political Science 2130 or Political Science 2230E; Psychology 2041, Psychology 2060, Psychology 2712F/G, or MOS 2180; Religious Studies 2150, Religious Studies 2222F/G; Sociology 2143E, Sociology 2144A/B, Sociology 2173A/B, Sociology 2237, Sociology 2239, Sociology 2266A/B, Sociology 2267A/B, Sociology 3332A/B, Sociology 3335A/B, Sociology 3341F/G, Sociology 3360F/G, Sociology 3380F/G, the former Sociology 2178A/B, and "Special Topics" Courses in Sociology with permission of the Chair.
