FOUR YEAR BSc HONORS APPLIED QUANTITATIVE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM

Admission Requirements

A complete first year program with a mark of at least 60% in Calculus 050a/b plus 051a/b, or Applied Mathematics 026, Computer Science 025a or 026a/b and 027a/b, Linear Algebra 040a/b and Statistical Sciences 023a/b as principal courses. Statistical Sciences 024a/b is recommended as a subsidiary course.

Second Year

Principal Courses

Applied Mathematics 213b or Mathematics 203b
Calculus 250a/b, 251a/b
Statistical Sciences 257a
Statistical Sciences 259a/b and 260b; or the former Statistical Sciences 255
Two full-course equivalents chosen from: Applied Mathematics 261b, Computer Science 210a/b, 211a/b, 212a/b/y, Differential Equations 215a; course selection must be approved by program counsellors.

Third and Fourth Years

Principal Courses

The half-course from second year that has not already been completed, to be taken in third year

Statistical Sciences 325a/b, to be taken in the third year

Applied Mathematics 310a/b and 325a/b to be taken in the third year

Six additional courses at the 200-level or higher, normally from the departments administering the program, which have been approved by the program counsellors. (Course streams that lead to various specializations have been identified by the departments, but choice is not necessarily restricted to these streams.)

Note: ES 211F/G "Engineering Communications" must be completed before graduation from this program.
