THREE-YEAR BSc CHEMISTRY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE
A complete first year program that includes Biology 022 or 023 with a minimum mark of 60%, either Chemistry 020 with a minimum mark of 60%, or 023 with a minimum mark of 70%, Physics 020, 022, or 024 or 025, and either Mathematics 030, with a minimum mark of 80%, or Calculus 050a/b plus one of 051a/b or 081a/b, or Applied Mathematics 026, or the former Applied Mathematics 020, or 023a/b plus 024a/b, or the former Mathematics 027. It is also to the student's advantage to include Geography 020E in the first year.
Second Year
- Chemistry 226a/b, 251, 253, 254
- Statistical Sciences 222a/b or another half-course from Group D
- Earth Sciences 020 preferably, or any two of Earth Sciences 081a/b, 082a/b, 083F, 085a/b, 281b; the recommended combination most closely approximating the content of Earth Sciences 020 is Earth Sciences 082a/b and 085a/b
Third Year
- Chemistry 322
- Environmental Science 300F/G
- Three half-courses from Chemistry 321b, 323a, 324a, 358b, 378b, 390a
- One full-course equivalent from Group B
- One Group E course, or, if Geography 020E was taken in first year, then sufficient courses to replace half or all of this requirement from: Environmental Science 350a/b, Group C, Group D
- The Area of Concentration will consist of all senior courses.
