Admission Requirements

Principal Courses

One full-course equivalent chosen from the following: Calculus 050a/b and either 051a/b (minimum mark of 60%) or 081a/b (minimum mark of 70%), or Applied Mathematics 026, or the former Applied Mathematics 020, or 023a/b plus 024a/b, or the former Mathematics 027

Linear Algebra 040a/b^*

Subsidiary Courses

Two courses

^* If Linear Algebra 040a/bis not taken in first year, it must be completed prior to the beginning of third year. It is strongly recommended that students take Statistical Sciences 024a/b.

Second Year

Economics 260a/b, 261a/b

Statistical Sciences 257a

Actuarial Science 223a, and either 221a/b or 225a/b

Statistical Sciences 259a/b, plus one of 258b and 260b, or the former Statistical Sciences 255

Calculus 280a/b and 281a/b, or equivalent, or the former Applied Mathematics 200 or the former Mathematics 204a, and one of the former Mathematics 205b or 285b (see Department for equivalents)
