ACADEMIC AWARDS AND BURSARIES


ONTARIO STUDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) is the primary source of assistance for Canadian citizens or Permanent residents from Ontario. OSAP has been designed to supplement, rather than replace a student's resources and those of the immediate family. This is determined by a means test. The Ontario Assistance Program is currently under review. Please contact the Financial Aid Services-Office of the Registrar for information.

Child Care Bursary

The Child Care Bursary provides non-repayable assistance to help cover the cost of child care. The bursary supplements the OSAP loan you receive. If you are a sole support parent, you may be eligible for up to $83 per week, per child. If you are a married student, you may be eligible for up to $40 per week, per child. Contact the Financial Aid Services-Office of the Registrar for more information.

Bursary for Students with Disabilities

The Bursary for Students With Disabilities is available to help you with special education related costs resulting form a disability. The bursary supplements the OSAP loan you receive. The maximum you may receive is $5,000 per academic year.
