An Honors program in French may be completed in Honors French Language and Literature or Honors French Linguistics and Literature. Students may move from one program to the other if prerequisite courses have been completed.
First year program in Arts, Science or Social Science, with French 020E, or French 021 and two other courses as principal courses. A 70% average in these principal courses is required with no grade less than 60%.
French 271, 290E and one of 232E, 242E, 295, French 252E (given at Huron University College).
Two options
Completion of at least French 271 and 290E required for progression into third year.
After the second year the program consists of the equivalent of eight courses in the Department and a minimum of two options normally, but not necessarily, taken outside the Department. Other French courses not listed below may be taken as options.

Note: Students in French may take their third year at Laval or Nice with the permission of the Department of French. Students in combined programs need the consent of both departments. Some scholarships are available.
