| German 300F/G Literature and Culture of the Middle Ages |

German literature from its heroic beginnings to its first great coming of age in works of chivalry and romantic love is examined in its cultural context. Most works are read either in modern German translation or English. |
| Antirequisite: The former German 315E. |
| Prerequisite: German 250E or the former German 263 or 290 or permission of the Department. |
| 3 hours, half course. |
