Applied Mathematics 476a/b Numerical Solutions of Partial Differential Equations

Finite difference methods, stability analysis for time-dependent problems.

Prerequisite: Applied Mathematics 261b or the former Applied Mathematics 272a/b, 361b .

Pre- or corequisite: Applied Mathematics 320b, or 375a/b, or 376a/b, or 380.

3 lecture hours, half course.
