This survey is for anyone interested in why we speak the way we do. We explore different aspects of language usage (including language and the media, language and computers, language and gender, language education and dialects) while emphasizing the interdisciplinary nature of language studies. Taught in English. |
| Antirequisite: Linguistics 187a/b, or the former French 287F/G, or the former French 187a/b. |
| Prerequisite: At least one first year course. |
