Course Description

MME 414a/b Microstructural Analysis

An introduction to modern methods of examining microstructure. Optical microscopy as it applies to metals will act as the central theme for the course, and aspects of imaging common to all microscopies will be discussed with reference to visible light microscopy.

Antirequisite: The former ES 414a/b.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of 3rd year of the Mechanical Engineering program.
