MME 424a/b Mechanical Properties of Materials |
This course examines the general mechanical properties of materials with emphasis on the relationship between these properties and the microstructure of the solid. It will include a discussion on how to change the plastic behaviour of solids by manipulating the microstructure. The laboratory part of the course is essential to understanding the formally presented lectures. |
Antirequisite: The former ES 424a/b. |
Prerequisite: Successful completion of 3rd year of the Mechanical Engineering program. |
3 lecture hours, 1.5 laboratory hours, half course |
