This course is an introduction to common CNC machining operations. Topics include basic CNC part programming, modern machine tool controls and machining centres, tooling and work-holding devices, kinematics and dynamics of milling operations, part programming using CAD/CAM, and advanced CNC machining strategies. |
Antirequisite: The former ES 459a/b. |
Prerequisite: Completion of third year of Mechanical Engineering Program. |
