Continuation from 049a/b of basic theoretical concepts through writing and analytic assignments. Introduction of melodic figuration and suspensions, nondominant and secondary dominant seventh chords, and modal mixture. Continuation of the study of small forms. |
| Antirequisite: The former Music 035. |
| Prerequisite: Music 049a/b or permission of the Department. |
