Philosophy 156 Theory of Rational Choice

Analysis and critique of decision-making processes. A survey at the elementary level of decision theory, game theory, systems analysis and other recent technical developments is combined with a philosophical consideration of the underlying concept of rationality in practical decision, of the relevance to decision-making of moral and other values, and of concrete applications in the realms of social policy and business.
