| Physics 259E Intermediate Physics Laboratory |

Students will gain a thorough introduction to experimental methods through experiments on electricity and magnetism, thermal physics, optics and modern physics. |
| Antirequisites: The former Physics 242a, 244b, 251a, 252b, 256a, 258b |
| Prerequisites: A minimum grade of 60% in the following courses: Physics 020 or 024 or 025 or 026; (Calculus 050a/b and (051a/b or 081a/b)) or Applied Mathematics 026 or the former Applied Mathematics 020 or (023a/b plus 024a/b) or the former Mathematics 027. |
| Corequisites: Physics 200 |
