Political Science 438F/G Legacies of Communism

Communism and its collapse in Europe had a profound impact on the twentieth century and beyond. This seminar course examines the intellectual, physical, political, social, geo-political, economic and other legacies of communism. The selection of themes and texts reflects many of the current debates in academic and political circles.

Antirequisite: Political Science 390G/History 498G (Offered January 2001), History 412F/G

Prerequisite: Political Science 249E or the former 349E or History 439E or permission of instructor.
