Traces the history of African Americans through slavery, the Civil War, Reconstruction, segregation and disenfranchisement, debate over the strategies of Booker t. Washington and W.E.B. DuBois, and founding of the NAACP. Lectures, book discussion, and examination of selected topics in seminars. |
