Use of systems approach in civil engineering analysis and design. Course topics include: systems thinking; simulation; optimization; and multi-objective analysis. Exposure to, and use of computer-based simulation and optimization tools in solving civil engineering problems. |

| Prerequisites: Computer Science 026a/b, Applied Mathematics 026. |
| Corequisites: Applied Mathematics 277, 276, or 275 |
