An intermediate course in standard Chinese and a continuation of Chinese025a/b. Students will build on skills in reading, writing, and speaking developed in earlier courses. Students will gain an increased vocabulary (approximately 1000 characters in Chinese 025a/b and 026a/b) and a greater understanding of more complex grammatical structures. The pinyin romanization system will be used. |
| Antirequisite: Chinese 024, the former ICS 024, 027. |
| Prerequisite: Chinese 025a/b or permission of the department based on an assessment of proficiency. |
