| ES 021a/b Properties of Materials in Engineering |

Introduction to the relationship between the fundmental properties and engineering properties of materials. The course will consider the molecular and crystallographic structure of materials and show how these affect the mechanical, electrical and thermal properties of materials and their stability in service. |
