SOCIOLOGY CERTIFICATE IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

The Certificate in Community Development offered through the Department of Sociology at Brescia College is a fourth year alternative to the Honors Sociology Program. This one-year program is comprised of three core courses (including a practicum/placement component) and two optional courses to be selected from an approved interdisciplinary list.

Admission Requirements

Limited enrolment based on completion of at least 2 years toward a BA in Sociology or a related social science, with a minimum overall average of 70% in the year previous to the one in which the Certificate Program is taken.

Progression Requirements

Students must obtain an average of 70% in the required courses, with no course under 60%.
