Survey and research on language and its use from the perspective of cultural study. The course investigates the various linguistic factors that influence and shape cultural discourses: e.g., socio-economic class, gender, political discourse, among others. In particular, inter-cultural variations of language will be of primary importance. Prerequisite: |
