FAMILY CONFLICT AND VIOLENCE
The course involves a sociological analysis of family conflict and violence by examining the definitional, conceptual, and methodological issues thatinform theory and research. The course examines research and selected theoretical perspectives that attempt to explain various types of family conflict and the conditions under which disputes turn violent.
Prerequisite(s): 1.0 from Sociology courses at the 1000 level, and 3rd or 4th yr standing in an HSP offered in Sociology or Criminology; or with permission of the Course Instructor.
