Students will support primary school students and teachers during a series of outdoor education excursions. The practical experience in outdoor education will be part of a weekly cycle of readings in pedagogical theory and educational history, lesson plan implementation, reflective writing and group discussion.

Antirequisite(s): Childhood and Youth Studies 3396A/B if taken in 2025-26.

Prerequisite(s): Childhood and Youth Studies 2214F/G and permission of the Department Chair.

Extra Information: 3 hours. A Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and TVDSB online training is required to be filed and or completed with the instructor and the participating school by each student before the term begins. The VSC requires payment of a $15 fee; the online training is free.
