INTRODUCTION TO ETHICS AND HEALTH


Introduces basic moral theory and moral reasoning, and also teaches students to apply sound moral decision-making to important ethical issues in health, including: health, wellness, illness, allocation of scarce resources, and consent. Methods of explaining/justifying moral decisions in health will be explored by surveying major philosophical approaches to ethics.

Antirequisite(s): Philosophy 2715F/G.

Prerequisite(s): Minimum of 60% [mandatory] in each of Health Sciences 1001A/B and Health Sciences 1002A/B.
