Our world is fractured by inequalities in capacities involving the means of communication. This course examines such disparities using a political economy approach. It assesses the international interplay of power, wealth and information in the context transnational capitalism, nation-state relations, and an array of mediators (institutions, organizations, and technologies) shaping our emerging world (dis)order.
