THE STATUS OF WOMEN IN ARTISTIC COUPLES
A look at a variety of political, social, and economic factors relating to women's status generally, and within the context of the visual arts during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. This slide-illustrated course will examine French sculptors Camille Claudel and Auguste Rodin, Mexican painters Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, and Canadian painters Mary Pratt and Christopher Pratt, among others.
