This course examines the ideas, methods and politics of making—from hobby, craft, repair and DIY cultures, to the more entrepreneurial ‘makerspaces’ and ‘fab labs’ promoted by education and business. This hands-on, collaborative course explores making, breaking and taking apart through in-class projects and individual final projects.
