This course examines the history of hockey in Canada through such issues as climate, geography, and environment; immigration, race, and ethnicity; gender and sport; sport and business; professionalization; spectators, crowds, and fans; identity, nationalism and internationalism; health concerns, gambling, toxic masculinity, violence, and social behaviour.

Extra Information: 2 hours. May not be counted towards the completion of any Kinesiology module.
