Admission to this module is discontinued effective September 1, 2023. Students enrolled in the module will be permitted to graduate upon fulfilment of the module requirements by August 31, 2026.

Admission Requirements



Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.0 principal courses, including both French 1911A/B and French 1912F/G, or French 1900E or French 1910 plus 2.0 additional courses, with no mark in these principal courses below 60%.

1.0 course from two of the following three groups, with a maximum of 0.5 course per group: French 3540F/G-3542F/G, French 3560F/G-3562F/G, French 3570F/G/Z-3572F/G/Z.
1.0 course from two of the following three groups, with a maximum of 0.5 course per group: French 3580F/G-3582F/G, French 3600F/G-3602F/G, French 3690F/G-3692F/G.
1.0 course from two of the following three groups, with a maximum of 0.5 course per group: French 3610F/G-3613F/G, French 3720F/G-3722F/G, French 3750F/G-3753F/G.
0.5 course from: French 3700F/G-3702F/G.
0.5 course from: French 3206A/B, French 3301A/B.
1.0 additional course from 3500 level or above.
0.5 course: French 4902A/B.
1.0 course from: French 4600E, French 4100F/G-4104F/G.

Note: French 2600E or both French 2605F/G and French 2606F/G are prerequisites for further studies in French Literature.
