Enrolment in all modules in Media and the Public Interest is limited. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee that students wishing to enter any module in Media and the Public Interest will be offered enrolment.

Admission Requirements


Completion of all first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 72% in 4.0 principal courses, with no mark in any principal course below 60%, and including a minimum grade of 70% in each of MIT 1020E or MIT 1021F/G and MIT 1022F/G, and MIT 1025F/G.

3.0 courses required in second year: MIT 2000F/G, MIT 2025A/B, MIT 2100F/G, MIT 2200F/G, MIT 2500A/B, MIT 2152F/G.
0.5 course required in third year: MIT 3100F/G.
1.0 courses required in fourth year: MIT 4999F/G and 0.5 course from courses numbered MIT  4030F/G-4039F/G.
1.0 courses: MIT 3901F/G, MIT 3902F/G.
0.5 additional course in MIT at the 2000 level or above.
1.5 additional courses
in MIT at the 3000 level or above.
1.5 courses from: MIT 3110F/G, MIT 3215F/G, MIT 3218F/G, MIT 3221F/G, MIT 3832F/G, MIT 3931F/G, MIT 3932F/G, MIT 3933F/G, MIT 3935F/G, MIT 3936F/G.
