BACHELOR OF EDUCATION PROGRAM
Faculty of Education - Pre-Service Undergraduate Program
The Faculty of Education offers the Bachelor of Education program (B.Ed.). The program comprises four semesters, each involving 14 weeks of course work, field work, and practicum. Orientation takes place just prior to the Labour Day weekend. Classes begin immediately after Labour Day and conclude at the end of April.
The basic program requirement for Teacher Candidates is 9 credits, 7.00 of which are course work and 2.00 of which are Field Experiences including Practicum. One credit of course work is normally equivalent to 72 hours of class time plus additional out-of-class-work.
