FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES
To progress to the general BA Kinesiology program it is recommended that students successfully complete the five first-year level courses with a minimum overall average of 70% and a minimum of 60% in Kinesiology 021. When the number of applicants exceeds the number of available spaces, progression in the program will be more competitive. Therefore, meeting University minimum requirements will not guarantee progression in the program.
Kinesiology 021, with a minimum of 60% ("C" standing), is normally a prerequisite for all Kinesiology courses offered in the undergraduate program.
Transfer students from other faculties, departments or universities who have completed all first year requirements except Kinesiology 021, will have Kinesiology 021 waived as a prerequisite for admission if they are accepted by the School. Priority for admission will be given to those students who have completed Kinesiology 021. Please consult with the School for details.
The laboratory or practicum sessions of several courses are very vigorous. It is recommended that students have a medical check-up to ensure that their health status permits engagement in vigorous activity.
Students with health problems must inform the Undergraduate Program Office, and provide appropriate medical support documentation.
