Students entering Electrical Engineering - Wireless Communications option - follow the same curriculum for the first three years as other students in the Electrical Engineering program. A student who wishes to enroll in the Wireless Communications option must have completed the third year of the Electrical Engineering curriculum.
Fourth Year Program
ECE 4416, ECE 4429A/B, ECE 4432A/B, ECE 4433A/B, ECE 4436A/B, ECE 4437A/B, ES 4498F/G, 1.0 non-technical elective*.
Two 0.5 technical electives from the approved list - the list is the same as for the Electrical Engineering program, Option A (Electrical Engineering), excluding the above mandatory courses.
Students who entered before September 2016 are required to take Business Administration 2299E.
*Selection of the non-technical elective must be approved by the
Department Counsellor to satisfy the CEAB requirements of subject matter
that deals with central issues, methodologies and thought processes of
the humanities and social sciences. An approved list can be found on the
Engineering website.
