EMPOWERING CITIZENS


This course explores the idea of ‘the citizen’ and what can happen when citizens are empowered to play a greater role in governance, leadership and policymaking. Topics include an interdisciplinary examination of notions of the citizen, models of citizen policy engagement, and the impact of citizen input in public decision-making.

Antirequisite(s): Political Science 2295F/G.

Prerequisite(s): GLE 2003F/G or permission of GLE Coordinator.
