INTRODUCTORY STATISTICS FOR SOCIAL WORKERS


An introduction to common approaches to statistical analysis including descriptive statistics, the normal curve, hypothesis testing, univariate regression and various measures of association. It includes an introduction to the use of SPSS software for data analysis. Required for admission to the Social Work program.

Note: Students who complete Statistical Sciences 1024A/B after completion of Social Work 2207A/B, or the former Social Work 2205, will lose their credit for Social Work 2207A/B, or the former Social Work 2205.

Prerequisite(s): Social Work 1021A/B and Social Work 1022A/B, or the former Social Work 1020, or permission of the School. Pre-or Corequisite(s): Social Work 2206A/B.
