INTRODUCTION TO GALLERY, MUSEUM & CURATORIAL STUDIES


This class surveys the history and development of museums and art galleries. Practical skills development and critical engagement with ideas and materials will allow students to gain insight into the many representational practices that produce meaning within the museum and gallery. Antirequisite (s): The former VAH 2285, VAH 3384, VAH 3385E, VAS 2285, VAS 3384, VAS 3385E.

Prerequisite(s): Two of VAH 1041A/B - VAH 1045A/B or permission of the department.
