The Department offers 17 Modules in 8 disciplines. Students intending to take modules in Astrophysics, Biological Physics, Medical Physics, Physics or Planetary Science should take one of Physics 020, 024, or 026. Students intending to take modules in Biomaterials or Materials Science may take Physics 020, 024, 026 or 028a/b plus 029a/b. The Conceptual Astronomy Minor has no prerequisites, and is designed for students qualitatively interested in Astronoy. The Department offers a joint program with Fanshawe College that leads to a Three-Year BSc in Physics plus a diploma in either Electronics Engineering Technology or Control Engineering Technology. Students who do not have exactly the right prerequisites for entry may request special permission to do so. All students entering or continuing in any of the Department's offerings are required to consult with the Department for approval of their choice of module.

Note: Courses offered in Odd-Numbered years are taught in those academic years starting in September 2003, 2005, etc., while courses offered in Even-Numbered years are taught in academic years starting in September 2004, 2006, etc.

 Science Internship Program

The Science Internship Program includes a series of preparatory sessions, an 8-16 month practical career-related experience in an employment setting, and a post-internship component. All students enrolled in the 3rd year of a 4-year undergraduate Science or Medical Science Honors Specialization, Specialization, or in a Major + Major combination [where at least one of the Majors is in Science or Medical Science] or students who are enrolled in the 3rd year of a 4-year BSc or BSc (Hons) program, are eligible to enrol in the Science Internship Program, if they satisfy the eligibility requirements.
